Adaptable Assistant.
Some people come to work every day to fulfill their responsibilities. Others become part of the very heart of the company. Stella is one of those special people whose dedication and genuine spirit remind us that what makes Precision International truly special isn’t just what we produce, but the people who stand beside us every day. Born and raised in Columbia, Stella moved to Long Island in 1997 with her husband, Fernando, whom she has known for an astounding 38 years and has been married to for 26 of them. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and hard work, raising their two extraordinary daughters, Camilla and Marcela. Like so many devoted mothers, Stella entered the workforce with a determination to learn and provide the absolute best for her family. She carried with her a strong work ethic and an open mind, with the willingness to take on whatever challenges came her way. Little did she know that one opportunity would lead her to a place that would become so much more than a job. In 2012, Stella heard about an opening at Precision International. From the moment she walked through our doors, she felt something she had never quite experienced in a workplace before: a genuine sense of belonging. She found a warm and welcoming environment where people treated one another with kindness, where employees were valued, and where the feeling of family extended far beyond the walls of the building. For Stella, that feeling meant everything. In fact, she was so deeply touched by the kindness and atmosphere she encountered that she took the time to pen a heartfelt letter to our late founder, Dennis Marshall. In that letter, she expressed her gratitude and thanked him for setting an example that inspired employees to treat one another with the same warmth and respect. It was a beautiful gesture that spoke volumes about the person Stella is. She recognized the heart behind the company and wanted the person responsible for creating that culture to know how much of a difference it made in her life. As our Floor Production Assistant, Stella is one of the people who helps keep our operation moving every single day. Her work is varied, fast-paced, and essential to the flow of production, yet she approaches every responsibility with care and determination. From managing customer-specific labels for kits and modules to requesting and verifying ring kits assembled by other departments, Stella understands that every detail matters. She works closely with the Receiving Department for urgent parts requests, pulls stock to support her department, and takes on countless additional tasks to keep things running smoothly, but what truly sets Stella apart isn’t simply the work she does. It is the heart she puts into it. Stella has a remarkable ability to learn quickly, process instructions, and recognize what needs to be done before someone even has to ask. She takes pride in doing things correctly, pays close attention to the smallest details, and understands how every part of the operation connects. Her impeccable attendance and knowledge of our daily processes make her someone her team can depend on without hesitation. And when things get busy, as they so often do, Stella is right there. She is the person willing to lend an extra hand, take on another task, and make sure the job gets finished the right way. Of course, there is much more to Stella than the responsibilities she carries on the production floor. At the center of her life is the family she loves so dearly. Whether she is spending time with Fernando and her daughters, Camilla and Marcela, or enjoying the company of the family’s beloved dog, Max, and cat, Nico, Stella treasures the moments that bring everyone together. When Stella isn’t at work, you might find her surrounded by plants, tending to her garden, or discovering new ways to bring a little more nature into her world. She has a fascination with Kokedama, a traditional Japanese art form in which a plant’s root system is wrapped in a compact ball of soil and moss. She also loves creating terrariums, miniature natural worlds that reflect her patience, creativity, and appreciation for the beauty of living things. Her green thumb truly shines during the warmer months, when she takes pride in planting, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors. There is something fitting about Stella’s love for nature. Just as she nurtures her plants with patience and care, she brings that same thoughtful spirit to the people and responsibilities in her life. When she is ready for a night out, she loves spending time with friends and members of her community, sharing laughter, making memories, and dancing the night away. Her favorite? Salsa! Her story reminds us how powerful it can be to find a place where you feel welcomed, and respected, and how much more meaningful that place becomes when you help make it just as special for others. Thank you for the care you put into your work, for the countless times you have stepped up without hesitation, for the smile you bring with you, and for being someone we know we can always count on. Most of all, thank you for being exactly who you are, Stella!
