Meet Pete! Born and raised in Williston Park, New York, Pete’s early memories bring him back to the comforting aroma of his mother’s Spanakopita baking in the oven, while his father shared his wealth of knowledge to Pete and his two older brothers. Growing up in a household as the youngest, Pete experienced a unique blend of competition and camaraderie. This dynamic shaped his character, fostering a resilient work ethic and a collaborative spirit that would become hallmarks of his professional career. Pete pursued his passion for technical problem solving when he enrolled at the New York Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. His time at NYIT laid a solid foundation for his future ventures, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills that would prove essential in his career. In 2000, Pete embarked on his journey with Precision International, where he has since established himself as a cornerstone of the engineering department. Over his combined 22-year tenure, Pete has specialized in the research and development of automatic transmission kits, earning a reputation as “The Honda Guy” for his extensive expertise in Honda transmissions. His deep understanding of these units and his innovative approach have driven significant advancements in the field, making him an invaluable asset to the engineering team. Pete is responsible for reverse engineering transmission units while drawing prints for production that eliminate original manufacture flaws. He then inspects the new components he has designed upon arrival with a thorough report to ensure Precision’s goal of delivering the most durable products on the market. In addition to product development, Pete also manages all our quality control samples, compares competitors’ transmission kits, and is a seasoned auditor for our internal audits department which plays a vital role in our ISO 9001 certification. Pete also maintains the company’s master application table for our website and mobile app. Among his range of responsibilities, Pete prides himself on being a reliable employee whose attendance record remains nearly perfect. Outside of work, Pete is a dedicated family man who loves building and assembling home projects. He recently celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife, Stephanie, a milestone that reflects their strong partnership and shared journey. Together, they are raising a rising star daughter, Sam, who is eagerly anticipating her 16th birthday which will allow her to obtain her driving permit. His family dynamic adds a personal touch to his professional life, as he balances his career with the joys and responsibilities of parenthood. As a coach of his daughters’ softball team, Pete sets a terrific example with his natural ability to teach and serene personality. Aside from being on the softball field with his family cheering his daughter on, Pete’s favorite thing to do is adventure in the car with Sam and sing their favorite songs together, battling to see who the next American Idol can be. Pete is an avid bowler who anticipates his Monday night league competing and enjoying the game that he loves so much. Reflecting on his journey, Pete acknowledges the lasting impact of the lessons learned from his past and the support of his family. These elements have combined to create a well-rounded individual who not only excels in his technical role but also embodies the values of hard work and happiness.
